Catchin up...

This weekend we had a fun event for the new collection for Style Warrior. The colors are bronzes and earth tones. Amazing colors going into summer. My favorite is the skinsheen body bronzer. I have been using this every day and still have a couple bottles from years ago. I love that it gives a healthy bronze glow and never orange or streaky.



This week, Chris and I went down to celebrate my grandpa shepherd's 88th birthday. We had a family dinner and got to visit with the fam for the evening. We gave Braeleigh a new dress and she went wild. She is obsessed with 'beautiful dresses". The dresses have to twirl, if they don't flare out enough she will take if off and throw it. So I guess her attire for summer will be sun dresses.


An update on sweet little Betsey, she has found her true home next door with our neighbors. Back story- They had a shorkie that played with Betsey and then was stolen a couple weeks after we got Betsey. The neighbors have 4 kids that were heartbroken and everytime I would take Betsey outside she would run over to their house. It just seemed meant to be. So now we babsit her and play with her all the time. I really did try to be a dog person but I guess it isn't meant to be.

We are finally parents..... sort of?

Chris and I have a new addition to our family, Lil' Betsey Leigh. We got her last Friday and we are having a blast getting to know her. She is such a cute puppy and has a little spunky personality.

Now if only I can get her potty trained, we will all be happy. This potty training business is hard work. How do train a dog? We tried puppy pads but I ended up with sweet little presents all over my new carpet. So the vet suggested crate training, which is really tough. She is in her kennel alot but she is getting the concept. She is starting to go potty outside. woohoo!!! So we are trying to stick to it and see how it goes.

She meets the whole family this weekend. I am excited to see what everyone thinks, especially how my mom takes to her.(my mom has already had dreams about her pooping on her floor.)haha.

Pirates For Viva Glam!!!

There were Pirates galore at the MAC counter this weekend. It definitely got a lot of attention. I am not sure if it helped sell lipsticks but it was super fun. It was a little strange though when some cops asked Audry and I if they could take our picture... aarrrgggg.

Is Valentine's Day a forced holiday?

Valentine's is ok because my hubby gives me flowers but do we really need a day devoted to celebrate love? What about our anniversary or everyday for that matter. Shouldn't we love our spouse everyday and show it everyday... I think so.

I had to work on V-day. We had a huge Hello Kitty event. Now I wasn't a fan of Hello Kitty before this collection, due to the fact that I am over the age of 10, but I fell in love. I had a whole Hello Kitty outfit. It was fun dressing up even though Trista said I looked like a 5 year old:) It was a great event and this is the first event in a long time that I came home in a good mood. Chris was very thankful for that. We just spent the night at our house and watched a movie. So all in all it was a nice holiday.

New Year for MAC!!!

We have a new counter manager, Jonathan Hall, from the Murray store. I am so excited to have him on the team. He is bringing a positive, creative and passionate vibe to the team that we have been missing for some time now. I am excited to go to work again and it makes me want to a better artist. Here are some pics (thanks siri!)from Jonathan's first Saturday. We are starting fresh and the sky is the limit. Siri is our new Product Specialist. So she will be planning all our events. She is amazing and has a passion for MAC that truly inspires me.

This is Siri and I as bronzed beauties:) This week we had a tannning party at Audry's house. It was so much fun. I have never been spray tanned before, so that was a new experience of comfort for me. I love the tan but do not like that I can't take the long baths that I live for. Audry was amazing and made a whole meal for us including pulled pork sandwiches, salad, fruit tray and last but definitely not least, Lemon Chiffon Cake (which was to die for). She is an amazing chef and a wonderful friend.

Kitty Mild to Kitty Wild!

MAC Hello Kitty Collection hits stores on Feb. 12. I am super excited for this collection. We got pictures in today of the products and they are adorable. We are pre-selling starting NOW!, so let me know if you want anything because it will go fast. Our event for this is on Feb. 12 and 13th. If you want to come in and try on the new colors just let me know.

This is an anniversary collection like Barbie and Fafi. I'm sure you all know what a MAC addict I am and I will, of course, be getting way too much. There is a website that has a lot of pictures. I have no idea how they get info before we do but it was great to see the colors. www.temptalia.com
There will be (2) Eyeshadow quads, lipsticks, lipglasses, pigments,glitter liners, nail polishes, lip conditioners,and tons of accessories, just to name a few. There are two sets of colors- Mild Kitty (more neutral) and Wild Kitty (more color). So definitely something for everyone. There will also be a Kitty Couture line, unfortunately our store will not be getting these. It is basically fancier packaging and a couple added products.
