New Year for MAC!!!

We have a new counter manager, Jonathan Hall, from the Murray store. I am so excited to have him on the team. He is bringing a positive, creative and passionate vibe to the team that we have been missing for some time now. I am excited to go to work again and it makes me want to a better artist. Here are some pics (thanks siri!)from Jonathan's first Saturday. We are starting fresh and the sky is the limit. Siri is our new Product Specialist. So she will be planning all our events. She is amazing and has a passion for MAC that truly inspires me.

Jonathan, Siri, Audry, ME, Ashley, and Amy

This is Siri and I as bronzed beauties:) This week we had a tannning party at Audry's house. It was so much fun. I have never been spray tanned before, so that was a new experience of comfort for me. I love the tan but do not like that I can't take the long baths that I live for. Audry was amazing and made a whole meal for us including pulled pork sandwiches, salad, fruit tray and last but definitely not least, Lemon Chiffon Cake (which was to die for). She is an amazing chef and a wonderful friend.

Kitty Mild to Kitty Wild!

MAC Hello Kitty Collection hits stores on Feb. 12. I am super excited for this collection. We got pictures in today of the products and they are adorable. We are pre-selling starting NOW!, so let me know if you want anything because it will go fast. Our event for this is on Feb. 12 and 13th. If you want to come in and try on the new colors just let me know.

This is an anniversary collection like Barbie and Fafi. I'm sure you all know what a MAC addict I am and I will, of course, be getting way too much. There is a website that has a lot of pictures. I have no idea how they get info before we do but it was great to see the colors. www.temptalia.com
There will be (2) Eyeshadow quads, lipsticks, lipglasses, pigments, glitter liners, nail polishes, lip conditioners, and tons of accessories, just to name a few. There are two sets of colors- Mild Kitty (more neutral) and Wild Kitty (more color). So definitely something for everyone. There will also be a Kitty Couture line, unfortunately our store will not be getting these. It is basically fancier packaging and a couple added products.

Brunette, Blonde, Redhead

BBR is our new collection at MAC. It is beautiful and there is something for everyone. What I like is that you don't just have to stick with the colors for your hair color. I have been wearing the Blonde and Redhead colors and I love them. It is definitely not hard to find the perfect look no matter what your hair color.

This weekend we had our event for this collection and I was the BLONDE! It was crazy, no one recognized me at first. I should definitely go blonde.... yeah right, I thought I looked like a goofball. Anyway, it was fun to go blonde the day.

"Hallo, Possums!"

Dame Edna is here! I am absolutely in LOVE with this collection. The lip colors are amazing, my favorites being Gladiola with Hot Frost Lipglass and Coral Polyp with Splendid Lipglass. Varicose Violet nail laquer is a beautiful color and the name always makes me giggle. "Touch yourself up and others will follow"

Dame Edna Everage is a character played by Australian comedian Barry Humphries. Dame Edna consistently denies being a fictional character or drag performer, and refers to Humphries as her "entrepreneur" or manager. Indeed, Dame Edna has frequently said that the thought of a man dressing up as a woman for entertainment purposes is repulsive. Dame Edna Everage is probably the most popular and gifted woman in the world today: housewife, investigative journalist, social anthropologist, talk show host, swami, children’s book illustrator, spin doctor, Megastar, and Icon.

Christmas?

Well, Christmas is finally over and it was definitely a weird Christmas for us. Chris was sick with the stomach flu and got out of bed at 1pm to open presents then went right back to bed. Is it just me or did Christmas have a different vibe this year? It never seemed quite like Christmas for me. I think working retail gives you a different outlook. I didn't feel like shopping after being at the mall all day, having no time to do Christmas activities(no time off in Dec.), and Chris being sick wasn't very fun. I don't want to sound like a Scrooge because I did have an amazing time with my family. I was just sad Chris was sick and didn't get to enjoy the holiday. Here are some pictures from the big day. Winter Wonderland...

It snowed like crazy today. I spent a couple hours getting ready for work, only to get stuck in the driveway and never made it there. I guess I should think ahead, before barreling out of the garage and think I can make it out. There was a good 7-8 inches. So here I am stuck halfway in the road but most of my car in the snowbank that the nice snowplows made. Luckily, my new neighbor came out to help me. They moved two days before, what a nice way to meet them, huh? Then the ambulance drove by and the paramedics stopped to help us. I was so embarrassed because I didn't even have a snow shovel. We finally got it back into the garage and there it stayed. Chris and I went and bought a shovel tonight. I hope tomorrow morning goes better. Anyway, this weekend we went to Chris' family party. Here are some pics of the family. Chris and I took Braeleigh (my sister Ashley's daughter) so we wouldn't be left out of the kids present exchange.
